Summer Research Opportunities (REU)

NSF REU Website The NSF's Research Experience for Undergraduates program provides a great opportunity for students to go to another institution and experience real research as part of a small group of undergraduate researchers. The program funds food and housing for the students, and pays them too.
Harvey Mudd College Areas: Garbage collection, Robot vision, Intelligent Music software. Deadline: March 14, 2008.
Department of Computer Science and the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Trinity University, San Antonio, TX 10-week REU program where students will work collaboratively on a wide variety of AI & multi-agent systems problems. We will use multi-agent systems to simulate social environments. This experience will benefit students who are interested in real-world problems. Deadline for application: March 31, 2008.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of South Carolina; dates are June 1 through July 26. Applications are due March 15. The emphasis areas are software engineering and computer security.
