Submitting Programming Assignments
To submit completed programs for grading, you should log into the CS server and copy your files into the proper submission directory for the assignment.
Using Windows, on-campus (not dorms)
From the Start menu, choose "Run" and type "\\csserve". You should see a "Groups" directory. Within it is a "csc220_fall06" directory. For each assignment, an appropriate "submit" folder will be active in this directory. To submit your files, simply copy them (by dragging) into the correct submit folder.
Off-campus (or in dorms)
If you are working on a computer in your dorm or off-campus, you will not be able to access the CS server by directly connecting to \\csserve from Windows. Instead, you will need to use the SSH Secure Shell Client. In this case, if you need to transfer files from your local machine to the server, you can use the SSH Secure File Transfer program that is also installed with the SSH client. Connect to the server using host name "csserve.berry.edu" and then choose "New File Transfer" from the "Window" menu. Once you are in the file transfer program, to access the Groups directory, click in the text field which initially reads "/Users/loginname" in the top-right area of the file transfer windows and type "/Groups" instead. You should then be able to navigate to the appropriate submit folder. You can drag files to and from your local hard drive, which is shown on the left side of the file transfer window.
