Overview
This page details the steps that you will follow over the course of the semester in developing your project. All project documentation will be WWW-based. At the end of the semester, each project will have a complete website containing all deliverables.

Project Website and Proposal

First, get familiar with how to setup a website for your project documents using the CS server. We will go over this part in class.
Second, you are to write a short outline of your project (2-3 pages) based on the sections described below. This is due by next week (Jan 17). This report should be written and posted on your project website.
Outline format: (You do not have to follow exactly the same order, but each of these sections must be present in your report.)

- What problem is being solved (objectives)
- What the system is that will solve the problem (summary)
- Who will use it
- Scope of the project
- Deliverables
- What the system is (details)

Progress Reports

For each of the next six weeks -- i.e. throughout the implementation stage of your project -- you should post to your project web page a weekly status report telling me what you have accomplished during that week. It should clearly indicate the steps you have achieved towards implementation of your final software product. These reports should be posted by class time on Thursday.
