CSC498 - Semantic Web - Store Web Project - Fall 2005

Nadeem Abdul Hamid - Berry College

A local grocery/department store is looking to publish a web site incorporating features to better serve customers. The store has several locations in the area and sells a variety of grocery/household items.

The store would like to have a "normal" web site displaying its products and their prices, including sale and special items. It would like to provide a feature allowing customers to build 'smart' shopping lists (either using a standard web browser interface, or some additional program at first). Users should be able to search for, or enter items on their shopping list. The software should be able to download not only prices for the items but also their locations in the store, so that a printed shopping list can be generated sorted by store aisle or section.

Additionally, the software should be able to detect and suggest, if the user has selected some item, if there is a similar item on sale
